Director Client Services

General Mission Statement

Under the general direction of the Vice President, US Operations, performs a variety of managerial and operational activities to ensure a high level of satisfaction among assigned clients, within established MSI guidelines.

Primary Components

  • Directs and orchestrates the activities of service team, performing all relocation services for assigned clients. Conducts performance reviews, recommends salary increases, promotions, etc. Provides guidance and coaching to promote positive employee morale, growth and development.
  • Maintains the operational relationship of assigned clients/divisions overseeing day-to-day service delivery.
  • Provides and reviews information relative to operational and strategic activity, performance and progress.
  • Generates and delivers management reports as specified.
  • Interprets operational performance gaps in Service Teams’ skill sets and architects specific training modules to address and improve overall operational performance. Delivers and/or coordinates training workshops to ensure effective rollout and understanding of performance standards and service concepts.
  • Forecasts and is accountable for client activity projections, team manpower planning, and management of team-based cost/revenue categories. Approves and controls all team spending.
  • Keeps abreast of changing business climate of client base. Determines and requests new and improved services to safeguard against potential client loss. Provides essential discovery to VP, US Operations to integrate with VP, Strategic Services.
  • Cultivates and fosters continued client commitment to MSI. Conducts mid-year and year-end client reviews.

Secondary Components

  • Assists Vice President US Operations in determining strategy for client accretion and development.
  • Directs team relationship with service suppliers.
  • Suggests and designs improvements to operational activities and procedures.
  • Provides back-up to Management peers, i.e., other Directors, Client Services, as necessary.

Educational Development or Equivalent

Bachelors Degree with additional education in business or management.
At least five years progressive experience in relocation.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and all employees.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, create consensus, make decisions.
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office 00, and other programs as requested by MSI.
  • Ability to travel a must.
